Pouring From the Heart turned 20 in style Thursday evening, with a new strolling dinner format and a new location, Kansas City’s legendary The American. The American’s high ceilings and incomparable views of the city were the perfect match for the party with a purpose, which raises money to help provide crucial funding for indigent care. Chancellor C. Mauli Agrawal and his wife, Sue, were among the guests who enjoyed exclusive eats prepared by Chef Andrew Longres, paired with unique drinks. Silent auction items ranged from a year’s supply of ice cream to a week at a private beach house in Hawaii. The John Haynes Leadership Through Service Award also was presented, going this year to Dr. Connie White, DDS ’81, longtime faculty member and administrator at the UMKC School of Dentistry.  Enjoy photos from the event.
