Aspiring dental and dental hygiene students from universities across the Midwest had a unique and interactive opportunity to learn about dentistry, dental school, and the process of getting there.

The UMKC Pre-Dental Society organized the 2023 Pre-Dental Symposium, held February 25th. Attendees met with UMKC School of Dentistry admissions staff, a wide range of faculty and students, and were able to connect with other interested students to help support them along the application process.

Throughout the day, attendees participated in a variety of hands-on activities and lab projects – a taste of actual dental school course work – and sat in on presentations designed to enrich their pre-professional experiences as they work towards getting accepted into their respective programs.
