Virtual tour
The UMKC School of Dentistry is proud to provide a high-quality education for students and caring service for patients within one facility. Dental and dental hygiene students provide patient care on the first and third floors of the building. The second floor houses our state-of-the-art pre-clinical lab and student classrooms. Additionally, faculty and staff are always close by to answer questions and provide student support.
Student shadowing
There’s no better way to learn if oral healthcare is right for you! Sign up to shadow one of our DDS or dental hygiene students as they see their patients in our clinic. Prospective students must sign up to attend a shadowing session.
Summer programs
STAHR Scholars Dentistry is a10-week summer program that supports students who are ready to apply for the DDS program by providing them with DAT prep, hands-on experiences, personal statement development, mock interviewing and exposure to the field of dentistry.
All high school students are welcome to apply, with preference is given to students enrolled in a college preparatory curriculum in the Kansas City Metro, to our Summer Dental Discovery Program, where they can explore a career in dentistry through hands-on activities.
