Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics Certificate

About the Program

The advanced education residency program in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics have been changing the world one patient at a time since the program started.

Learning for our orthodontic residents starts inside our extensive facilities, laboratories and libraries where students have access to nationally known researchers, collaborative hospital partners and veteran faculty and can expect courses that emphasize the edgewise technique and interceptive and functional treatment. Objective inquiry and statistical validation are emphasized.

Training goes well beyond the classroom. Our location next to an elite children’s hospital means students will learn to manage craniofacial anomalies alongside the craniofacial experts at Children’s Mercy Hospital.

Graduates can immediately start a career in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, joining UMKC orthodontists making change across the world.
