JayDoc Dental Clinic, a student run free clinic, held its first ever pediatric dentistry night this week. The night was a rousing success as students and faculty volunteers of UMKC School of Dentistry were able to provide much needed free dental care to some amazing and resilient kids ages 6-13 years old. These kids, some coming from women’s shelters and some having refugee status, benefited from a multitude of treatments, such as extractions, fillings, indirect pulp caps, sealants, fluoride varnish, and prophy’s. It was truly an inspirational day for everyone involved and due to it’s success, one JayDoc Clinic will be having again soon in October.
