Friday began by welcoming and checking in many of MDC’s more than 3,000 attendees. Day two of this four-day conference offered attendees top-notch Technical Exhibits (100+ in all) and cutting-edge Scientific Sessions (10 programs ranging from “Dental Sleep Medicine” to reviving “Your Spirits in Dentistry?), as well as the conference’s customary social events and gatherings, which included the always popular Friday night Welcome Party and numerous class reunion celebrations.
A fun MDC feature this year brings the Conference’s theme, “Connect,” to life by encouraging conference goers to share their thoughts, memories and feelings about how they connect with the UMKC School of Dentistry. Attendees can share what’s on their mind and in their heart by posting sticky notes on reunion boards or taking a “selfie” at special MDC Connect signs at the Welcome Party and in the Exhibit Hall. Participants can share their comments and selfies through social media at #umkcmdc.
