Nearly 200 people enjoyed music, dancing and an awards ceremony February 16, 2019, at the fifth annual UMKC Health Sciences Harmony Gala. The School of Dentistry presented its annual Health Care Provider Diversity Award to Children’s Mercy. Awards from the other UMKC Health Sciences District schools went to the Sojourner Health Clinic, Saint Luke’s Health System and Truman Medical Centers. The event, held this year at Pierson Auditorium in the UMKC Atterbury Student Success Center, is sponsored by the UMKC Health Sciences Diversity and Inclusion Council and raises scholarship money to support underrepresented minority students enrolled in the schools of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing and Health Studies, and Pharmacy.  Photos from the event.
