Dr. Viviane Hass Named Winner of 2023 Joseph Lister Award for New Investigators

Dr. Viviane Hass, Postdoctoral Fellow, Department of Oral and Craniofacial Sciences, was the second-place winner for AADOCR/CADR Joseph Lister Award for New Investigators at the American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (AADOCR) Meeting in Portland, OR, this March for her research in the development of novel catechol-functionalized biomimetic crosslinkers for collagen-based biomaterials.

This highly competitive award is for new investigators within 10 years of their first academic appointment and was created to award young investigators in the American and Canadian Divisions of the IADR with original research in oral disease prevention or oral health promotion. All abstracts are reviewed by the AADOCR Fellowships Committee for research originality and potential for public health impact.

Dr. Hass will now move on to compete in the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) Lister Competition in Bogota, Colombia this June.
