Dr. Sreenivasan Narayanan is the Director of Pre-doctoral Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) Program and an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the UMKC School of Dentistry, Kansas City, Missouri.

In the past 18 years, Dr. Narayanan has been actively involved in teaching both the didactic and clinical aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery to both Pre-doctoral dental students and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residents in various top rated dental schools across the world including “The University of Hong Kong” – Hong Kong , “King Saud University” – Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, “Case Western Reserve University” – Cleveland, Ohio, “University of Detroit Mercy” – Detroit, Michigan and now at the University of Missouri Kansas City, Kansas City, Missouri .

Dr. Narayanan received his dental degree (BDS) from The Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R Medical University, India. He then completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program from the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong S.A.R.
Dr. Narayanan’s primary interest is in the development and implementation of Novel teaching methods in both the Pre-doctoral and Advanced Education Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training program. His other focus is in the area of Simulation Training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the use of Video based training aids to teach important concepts of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Narayanan has received several teaching awards in his professional academic career at various universities across the world.
