Clinical Assistant Professor
Dr. Karwaa, D.D.S, M.S, graduated dental school in 2005 form Tripoli University School of Dentistry, Tripoli, Libya. He then completed a 12-month GPR at Alexandria University, Alexandria, Egypt. He pursued his graduate education at the New York University College of Dentistry where he completed a residency in Aesthetic Dentistry and a residency in Prosthodontics for International Dentists. After completion of his clinical residency he earned his Master’s of Science degree in Biomaterials & Biomimetics with an emphasis on All-Ceramic and Zirconia Dental Restorations from the same institution. Dr. Karwaa served as a part-time faculty at NYU College of Dentistry Department of Prosthodontics before joining the UMKC School of Dentistry faculty in the Fall of 2014. His areas of interest are all-ceramic restorations, adhesive cements, digital dentistry (mainly CEREC), and implant restorations.
Dr. Karwaa currently serves as a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor at UMKC School of Dentistry. He is the Director of the Dental Occlusion Course and Co-director of the Advanced Prosthodontics course.
