Research Assistant Professor and Director of Corporate Clinical Research
Dr. Lynn Roosa Friesen is an Associate Professor at the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Dentistry where she serves as Director of Corporate Clinical Research. She has over 25 years of research experience executing corporate and industry sponsored oral health research as a calibrated examiner and as a Principal Investigator. Dr. Friesen received her DDS degree in 1985, and her Masters in Oral Biology and Advanced Education Periodontal Certificate in 1996 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. She is in a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. She has collaborated with Kansas University Medical Center and Children’s Mercy Hospital on several research projects. Additionally, she has served as a research mentor for dental students and served as committee member and co-chairman of advanced education dental students working on their Masters. She has presented at multiple local, national, and international meetings and her scholarly work has been published in Journal of Periodontology, Journal of Clinical Dentistry, The Journal of Craniomandibular & Sleep Practices, Journal of Dental Education, and Contemporary Clinical Trials Communications. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, Greater Kansas City Dental Society, the American Academy of Periodontology, the International Association of Dental Research, and the American Dental Education Association.
