Dr. Kelly Rodgers Suchman began her academic career in 2014 as an adjunct clinical assistant professor in Advanced Education in General Dentistry program after 13 years of private practice in Lee’s Summit, MO. In 2016, she was appointed as a full time assistant clinical professor in the Department of Restorative Clinical Sciences. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from UMKC School of Dentistry in 2000 and a certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry from UMKC School of Dentistry in 2001. Dr. Suchman received a Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry in 2007 for her commitment to continuing education and a Fellowship in the American College of Dentists in 2013. She has been involved in different leadership roles with the Greater Kansas City Dental Society and in 2011 was the first woman president of the organization. She is consults, teaches and grades for the Missouri Expanded Functions Dental Assisting Program.
