There are many ways to visit and stay connected to the UMKC School of Dentistry. Find more information about each below.

Join us for one of our Virtual DDS Information Events!  Learn more about the Doctorate of Dental Surgery Program and Requirements.

Shadowing – There’s no better way to learn if dentistry is right for you! Shadow one of our DDS students as they see their patients in our clinic. Prospective students must sign up to attend a shadowing session.

Dental Explorer’s Post – for high school and early college students, the Dental Explorer’s post meets five or six times per year. Students have the opportunity to learn through presentations by faculty and dental professionals, followed by a hands-on activity related to dentistry.

STAHR Scholars Dentistry – this 10 week summer program supports students who are ready to apply for the DDS program, by providing them with DAT prep, hands-on experiences, personal statement development, mock interviewing, and exposure to the field of dentistry.

DDS Student for a Day – Want to learn more about the UMKC School of Dentistry? Please join us for one of our Dental Student for a Day events! Experience what it’s like to be a student at the UMKC school of Dentistry. The event will include information on the admissions process, a tour of the facilities, presentations from faculty, interactions with current dental students, and more.”
