April 13, 2019, Dr. Amit Kumar gave an oral health presentation to an audience of approximately fifteen high school and college students, as well as parents, focused on his specialty, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Beginning with his personal educational credentials and insights about home in India, he highlighted the differences between a four-year certificate and six-year combined MD program and showed representative examples of procedures commonplace for oral surgeons.

A suturing lab project facilitated by members of the Student National Dental Association/Hispanic Student Dental Association followed. SNDA/HSDA members provided an overview and then paired up with Post members for the exercise.
