The University recently announced the entry level Bachelor of Science Dental Hygiene (B.S.D.H.) and the Registered Hygiene (R.D.H.) to B.S.D.H. degree completion programs will remain open. According to Dean Steven Haas, the School of Dentistry and Division of Dental Hygiene will confidently move forward knowing that key parts of the hygiene program will remain open and continue to graduate clinically advanced professionals, as it has for the past 70 years. The Dental Hygiene Education master's program will allow currently enrolled students to finish their degrees and then will no longer be offered. The university cited unfavorable business and education models in its decision to discontinue the education master's program.
