Explore why our flexible online program fits the lifestyle of working professionals. Our Master of Science in Dental Hygiene Education prepares professionals to educate the next generation. The 36 credit hour graduate program and core curriculum is offered through online teaching and learning modalities. The graduate program has a thesis or non-thesis option. The completion of a thesis or non -thesis research project (manuscript ready for publication) is required as part of the graduate student’s academic program. The core curriculum is completed online. Full time students are required to attend a minimum of three academic years.
Due to a state authorization initiative throughout the nation, all universities offering online education outside of their state must be authorized by each state in which they offer courses. Residents of some states are not eligible for our program at this time. Please visit our State Authorization page at http://info.umkc.edu/online/state-authorization/ to assure your residing state is eligible to participate in online learning at UMKC. Be aware eligible states can be added to the list at any time. Check the online site frequently for updates. It may be possible to allow applicants from these states to be admitted in the future. Please contact us if you have questions regarding these state restrictions.
