Continuing Education

Dentistry is a fast growing and changing career field. Let the UMKC School of Dentistry continuing education programs help keep your clinical skills relevant and in-demand as the industry changes. The School of Dentistry has several online and onsite programs to fit your needs.

Our Continuing Education programs are designed to meet the educational needs of working dental hygienists and dentists. UMKC School of Dentistry is a partner with ADEA and the AAL in sponsoring the Institute for Allied Health Educators (IAHE) – a professional development program for allied health and health profession faculty.

Professionals can browse course offerings online and learn immediately what fits your needs. You can also stay connected by checking your continuing education credits online.

Program Approval

Continuing education credits issued for participation in CE activities may not apply toward license renewal in all states. It is the responsibility of each participant to verify the requirements of his/her state licensing board(s). Participants should retain this document for their records. University of Missouri of Kansas City School of Dentistry is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credits hours by boards of dentistry. The current term of approval extends November 2023 through December 2027. The school is also an approved Academy of General Dentistry AGD/PACE provider (#214214) with approval from January 2022 through December 2024.
