Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

This six year postgraduate program is a result of a unique collaboration between the UMKC Schools of Dentistry and Medicine and the primary teaching hospital, Truman Medical Center. Two residents a year are admitted to receive intensive training through classroom, clinical and hospital experiences. Upon completion of undergraduate medical studies, students are awarded the Doctor of Medicine degree and the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery certificate. These highly trained surgeons are called upon to perform many types of procedures and related treatment for diseases, injuries and deformities affecting the head, face, mouth, teeth, gums, jaws, and neck. For referral and treatment information call: (816) 235-2100.
