Endodontics
The postgraduate endodontic program
boasts a five-chair state-of-the-art endodontic clinic constructed
using the generous contributions of Mrs. Virginia Stowers
and Dr. Ben Johnson, for whom the clinic is named. There is
no finer Endodontic clinic is the world. Two first year endodontic
residents start the 24-month fully accredited program each
year. Endodontists specialize in saving teeth and diagnosing
and relieving oral and facial pain. Non-surgical and surgical
treatments including root canals are aimed at diseased or
damaged blood vessels and connective tissue inside of the
teeth. Complex endodontic patients are always welcomed. Patients
who are not patients-of-record at the School of Dentistry
should call (816)235-5769 to schedule an evaluation appointment.
