Advanced Education in Dentistry
(AEGD)

Six graduate dentist residents are admitted to the 12 month program each academic year. The curriculum is designed to refine and advance knowledge and clinical skills in the practice of dentistry. Lectures and other educational experiences provide postgraduate training in the basic and behavioral sciences, clinical sciences and practice management. On completion of this program a certificate in general dentistry will be awarded. This training prepares the dentist to improve the quality and delivery of comprehensive dental services, education, health promotion and wellness for the patient. Some of these dentists receive an additional year of training in advanced restorative techniques and dental implants. For referral and treatment information call: (816) 235-2121.
