2007 Student Scholarship and Faculty and Staff Recognition Event
At our annual Scholarship and Recognition Ceremony, held Monday, September 24, 2007, the UMKC School of Dentistry distributed 279 awards totaling $401,000 to 196 dental, dental hygiene and graduate students. Twenty-five students were awarded support from 12 regional or national sources, totaling over $200,000. Of the school’s 100+ school-based scholarship funds, twelve were new in 2007. The successful growth of endowed scholarships and the continuing generosity of the school’s alumni and friends are evidenced by the fact that the school awarded $35,500 in scholarships for the 1989-90 academic year.
