The Oncology Dental Support Clinic

Established in 1981 to serve as an intermediary between the oncologist and the dentist on behalf of the cancer patient, the UMKC Oncology Dental Support Clinic provides advice, education, consultation and dental treatment related to oral health conditions and cancer therapeutics.  While many patients can and do compensate the Clinic for their services, a number are unable to do so.  Regardless of their ability to pay, patients at the Clinic receive the medically necessary dental care and education that will help them maintain oral health during and after cancer treatment.

Remarkable donor generosity over the past year has allowed the UMKC Oncology Dental Support Clinic to increase the number of patients served by 80 percent.  On behalf of the organizers of the Pouring from the Heart dinner and the Clinic patients and staff thank you for your support and we hope you will plan to join us next year!
