Dr. Eileen Cocjin joins
the UMKC faculty as a clinical assistant professor
in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. She
is a 1986 graduate of the University of the East,
College of Dentistry , and a 1998 graduate of
the postdoctoral program in pediatric dentistry
at the University of Southern California , School
of Dentistry . Dr. Cocjin served as a pediatric
dentistry associate with Dr. Oariona Lowe
in Whittier , Calif. |
Dr. Gerald L. Foley joins
the UMKC faculty as a clinical assistant professor
in the Department of General Dentistry. A 1970
graduate of the UMKC School of Dentistry, Dr.
Foley maintained a private practice in Independence
, Mo. , for 31 years.

Dr. J. Lawrence Katz
joins the UMKC
faculty as a research professor in the Department
of Oral Biology. A 1957 doctoral graduate of
Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, Dr. Katz
has served as professor of biomedical engineering
at Case Western Reserve University 's School
of Engineering in Cleveland , Ohio . He was
honored with the IEEE Engineering in Medicine
and Biology Society Career Achievement Award
in 1997.

Dr. James C. Kulild joins
the UMKC faculty as director of the Advanced
Education Program in Endodontics. A 1973 graduate
of the UMKC School of Dentistry, he earned an
M.S. degree in oral biology at The George Washington
University in 1982 and completed an endodontics
residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in
1983. Dr. Kulild served as a highly decorated
Colonel with the U.S. Army Dental Corps.

Dr. Tressa Parkinson
joins the UMKC
faculty as a clinical assistant professor in
the Depart-ment of General Dentistry. A 1996
graduate of the UMKC School of Dentistry, Dr.
Parkinson has been working as a general dentist
at Swope Parkway Health Center in Kansas City
, Mo.

Dr. Donald Sanchez joins
the UMKC faculty as a clinical assistant professor
in the Department of General Dentistry. A 1985 graduate
of the UMKC School of Dentistry, Dr. Sanchez has
served as president and owner of the Montrose Family
Dental Center in Montrose , Colo. |
