The modern dental hygiene program may be 50 years old in 2002, but the intrepid young women who were the program’s first students are still as feisty as ever. Especially Lois Scott and Carolyn Nichols who have organized a committee to plan a suitable celebration of the program’s success during the Midwest Dental Conference in 2004, which will be the 50th anniversary of their DH Class of 1954, the first class to graduate from the program. Scott and Nichols are hopeful that dental hygiene graduates of all ages will join them in both planning and participating in the celebration.
