Michael Abdoney Jr. (D.D.S. ’92)
Tampa , Fla.
was recently appointed to the Florida Board of Dentistry
by Governor Jeb Bush. His term as a board member will
run through 2005. The board regulates and enforces the
standards of the dentistry practice. Dr. Abdoney, 36,
a South Tampa resident, graduated from the University
of Pennsylvania Orthodontics School. He was an Eagle
Scout as a young man and continues to volunteer his
time with the Boy Scouts of America.
Nick Brand (D.D.S. ’90)
Winter Springs , Fla.
and his wife welcomed a beautiful baby girl July 26,
2001. Chole weighed 8 lbs. 7 oz. and was 21 inches long.
Big brother Parker, 2, now shares his playtime between
his new sister and Cookie, their 70-lb. chocolate lab.
Dr. Brand received his fellowship in the Academy of
General Dentistry at the annual meeting in August 2001
in New York . He would like to remind friends and classmates
to try to plan to attend the American Academy of Cosmetic
Dentistry annual convention in Orlando in 2003. Drop
him an e-mail if you are planning to attend.
Peter and Jennifer Freyer (D.D.S. ’98
and ’99)
Gulfport , Miss.
plan to settle down in Wausau, Wis., where they will
both be working in separate branches of a group practice.
Peter has already made the move up north and is now
practicing in Wausau, while Jennifer finishes her last
few months in the U.S. Navy, stationed in Gulfport,
Miss. By the end of June 2002 they will be together
in Wausau and hope to buy their first home soon!

West Melbourne , Fla.
is practicing oral and maxillofacial surgery at the
Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne and at the
Palm Bay Hospital in Palm Bay , Fla.
