John Frank (D.D.S. ’63)
Springfield , Mo.
writes that he retired in May 2000. He and his wife,
Vicki, are doing some traveling, reading, sailing and
working out (to try and stay healthy). And, of course,
they are enjoying playing with their grandchildren.
J. Michael Allen (D.D.S. ’64)
Orlando , Fla.
was awarded a Project Dentists Care Distinguished Service
Award by the Florida Dental Association for his work
with indigent patients at the Health Care Center for
the Homeless. Dr. Allen has volunteered at the clinic
for six years and served as chairman of HCCH’s board
of directors. He currently is the board’s dental director.
Allen resides in Bay Hill Village with his wife.
Granvil L. Hays (D.D.S. ’65)
University Place, Wash.
has written a historical novel, Tears of Sorrow, Tears
of Joy, that has recently been published by Sterling
House.
Gene Ray (D.D.S. ’65)
Southport , N.C.
is retired but working part time in the North Carolina
Department of Corrections, and loving it. His daughter
and family live nearby at Sumpter, S.C., AFB.
Larry A. Jones, (D.D.S. ’61)
St. Joseph , Mo.
was featured in the Northwest Alumni Magazine Alumni
Profile in November 2001. The article detailed Dr. Jones’
work as a member of a medical and dental missionary
team. His journeys have taken him to the jungles of
Jamaica and to the southern rural region of India .
He and his wife, Sandra, also help out closer to home
by volunteering with church and community programs.
Arnold F. Sarya (D.D.S. ’60)
Traverse City , Mich.
is past governor of the Kiwanis of Michigan and past
president of Michigan Society of Orthodontics. He has
held a number of local offices.
George Philip Wymore (D.D.S. ’69)
Slater, Mo.
and his wife, Luann Courtney Wymore, have been married
since 1964. They have three children: Courtney
Lynn Wymore Fletcher, Kristin Ann Wymore Meyer, and
Ryan Philip Wymore.
