Congratulations! Alumni and friends
of the UMKC School of Dentistry have once again
demonstrated their love and loyalty toward the
school by generously supporting its Dr. Roy J.
Rinehart Foundation. I know I’ve said it before,
but it bears repeating — your support is invaluable
to the school’s efforts to continue as a stellar
institution. Because the school is a state-assisted,
not a state-supported institution, private assistance
and support from committed individuals like you
make all the difference in the school’s ability
to achieve excellence in teaching, research, service
and clinical care. However, that is not to say
that the State of Missouri does not recognize
the school’s importance to the quality of oral
health in the region. The state invested $18.2
million to modernize the building that houses
the School of Dentistry . But no matter how wonderful
a building is, it’s still only as good as the
people who use it. Thanks to your continued generosity,
the school’s faculty, staff and students are doing
their darndest to maximize the value of the investment
that you and the State of Missouri have made in
the UMKC School of Dentistry. I hope you can be
as proud of their accomplishments, as they are
grateful for your generosity.
