of each Midwest Dental Conference is due to
the indispensible efforts of the student Diplomats.

of Scientific Sessions, Technical Exhibits and
social events, the lobby of the Hyatt Regency
Hotel serves
as an oasis of relaxation and conversation.

UMKC Chancellor
Martha Gilliland was welcomed by Dean Michael
Reed to her first Rinehart Recognition Breakfast,
Saturday
morning. Chancellor Gilliland addressed the audience,
stressing the importance of the School of Dentistry
’s contributions
to the mission of the University.

From A-dec to
Waterclave, more than 130 companies displayed
their
wares at the Technical Exhibits. Exhibitors and
attendees enjoyed the
extra elbow room afforded by the centralized location
of the Crown Center
Exhibit Hall, which opened in 2000.

on the incoming president. The spoon has taken
the place of the
official gavel that was lost a few years ago.
