is teaching dental assisting at Traviss Technical Center
in Lakeland .
Michael W. Bennett (D.D.S. ’76, early
grad)
Cape Girardeau , Mo.
and his wife, Gwen, are both UMKC graduates.They have
four children: Gwenda, 26, an attorney in Washington
, D.C. ; Ellie, 22, a Baylor graduate in marketing and
communications and doing an internship with “Focus on
the Family” in Colorado Springs ; Ross, 20, a Baylor
student (pre-dental) who plays college baseball; Trisha,
18, a high school student, and class president.
Gary and Fran (Kempster) Britton (D.D.S.
’72 and DH ’71)
Yukon , Okla.
will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary in July
after first meeting in the X-ray dark room in 1970.
With one daughter in Japan and one in England , they
enjoy traveling. Their third daughter is in Stillwater
, Okla. attending OSU.
David G. Hall (D.D.S. ’79)
Bartlesville , Okla.
just completed his 16th year in the private practice
of orthodontics and his fourth year as a delegate to
the American Association of Orthodontics, representing
the Southwestern Society of Orthodontists Constituency.
He is also busy coaching lots of competitive 13-year-olds
playing baseball.
Diane S. Parrish (formerly Percy)
(DH ’74)
Westport , Conn.
went to law school at University of Kansas and practiced
with Shook, Hardy, and Bacon for five years. In 1989
her family moved to Switzerland for a couple of years.
They now live in Connecticut and have two children:
Amanda, a first year student at the University of Chicago;
and Clay, a fifth grader. Her husband is an executive
with Philip Morris Companies in New York .
Robert E. Phillips (D.D.S. ’77, M.D. ’91)
San Antonio , Texas
currently practices rural emergency medicine in south
Texas . He completed his residency in family practice
in June 1999. He completed his residency in oral and
maxiofacial surgery in March 1985.
Gordon E. Stuart (D.D.S. ’78)
Hazelwood , Mo.
was awarded “Dentist of the Year” by Missouri Dental
Association on November 26, for his work on direct reimbursement
dental plans. He was awarded FAGD by the Academy of
General Dentistry in Toronto in August.
Debbie Thornberry Manne (DH
’75)
St. Louis , Mo.
is currently a clinical assistant professor in dental
hygiene at UMKC and commutes weekly by plane to teach.
