Recognition Well-Deserved

More than 475 students, faculty, alumni and friends of the UMKC School of Dentistry turned out for the school’s annual Recognition Dinner, Tuesday evening, August 29. The evening included the presentation of 243 scholarship awards from the School of Dentistry ’s 66 different endowed scholarship funds. A total of $350,000 was awarded to dental, dental hygiene and graduate dental students. Additionally, 27 students received awards from scholarships outside the school. The event also honored alumni and faculty who have achieved distinction during the past year. For the second year in a row, the catered event was held at Pierson Auditorium in UMKC’s University Center .
