This Oral and Maxillofacial Advanced Education program is a result of a unique collaboration between the UMKC Schools of Dentistry and Medicine and the primary teaching hospital, Truman Medical Center. The Advanced Education Training Program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Missouri-Kansas City offers two tracks: a 48 month (four-year) certificate program and a 72 (six-year) certificate plus MD program, both accredited by the commission on Dental Accrediatation of the American Dental Association. These highly trained surgeons are called upon to perform many types of procedures and related treatment for diseases, injuries and deformities affecting the head, face, mouth, teeth, gums, jaws, and neck. For referral and treatment information call: (816) 235-2100.
