DAT PREPARATORY COURSE
Developed and presented by UMKC School of Dentistry

UMKC School of Dentistry is proud to announce the release of the new DAT Preparatory Course. This DAT review course has been developed by professors from the University of Missouri-Kansas City to help prepare pre-dental students for the challenges of the DAT. This program is unique in that each course session will be taught by a knowledgeable and experienced professor through a live online forum.

This is the first live, online DAT Preparatory Course of its kind and is targeted towards today’s technologically savvy pre-dental students like you! The DAT Preparatory Course will cover four subject areas: Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Mathematics. The technology will allow you to attend each Saturday course on your computer from anywhere in the world. The review materials are delivered via the web to help you prepare for the DAT and will be available to access for a month after each section.

Unlike many DAT Preparatory courses, our course utilizes knowledgeable university faculty with actual lecturing experience. Some of these instructors have received teaching awards and written actual test questions for the DAT.

The registration fee to participate in the course is $495.00 which includes not only the course, but also the CD-ROM “Top Score Pro for Dental Admissions Test” produced by Scholarware. Sign up now for the session of your choice! Space is limited for each course, so be sure you get a seat in the session that works best for you. For more information and to register online, please go to the following website: www.cewebinar.com. You may also contact the UMKC School of Dentistry Office of Student Programs at 816-235-2080.

NDBE Part I Prep Course
Developed and presented by UMKC School of Dentistry

The UMKC School of Dentistry’s National Board Dental Examinations (NBDE) Part I Review Course is a comprehensive review of all subject areas covered by the NBDE Part I exam as specified by the ADA.  This includes Anatomic Sciences, Biochemistry, Physiology, Microbiology-Pathology and Histology.

This review course has been designed by full-time professors who are content experts in their field.  The focus of this review course is not only to help students review the content for the NBDE Part I exam but to identify weaknesses in each student’s knowledge base.  The goal of this course is NOT to teach but to REVIEW the content within each subject matter and focus on those areas that are considered the more difficult concepts or topics.

Each subject is broken up into a series of concept/topic driven on-demand mini-lectures.  This allows each student to personalize their study efforts to address those weaknesses in their knowledge base that makes the most sense to them and make their study efforts more efficient.  More importantly, having these on-demand mini-lectures available 24/7 means that students can study on their schedule rather than having to conform to someone else’s.

In addition, a live or synchronous component is also included which allows students to work through sample test questions with the professors as well as afford them the opportunity to ask questions or request clarification in real-time.

Digital handouts are also available upon registration and are uploaded to your CE Webinar account.  The registration fee to participate in this review course is $495.  Students may sign up for this review course by going to http://www.cewebinar.com/umkc.
