Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS)

Overview:
The UMKC School of Dentistry educates competent and caring oral health care providers through a curriculum that combines the best of the classroom and clinic. Preclinical dental and biomedical courses give our students the solid conceptual foundation they will need to succesfully practice dentistry. Beginning early in the first year and increasing throughout the four-year program, students work with peers and faculty to master the clinical skills required to deliver comprehensive oral health care. Dental Hygiene

Licensed dental hygienists are in demand by many types of employers from the dentist to the U.S. military. And graduates from the Division of Dental Hygiene are at the leading edge of their profession because of their intensive training allows them to move freely in a wide range of settings or to pursue an advanced graduate degree. UMKC offers three Dental Hygiene programs:
1. Bachelor of Science Dental Hygiene-Clinical Entry Level Program
2. RDH to BSDH Degree Completion Program Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene
