Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor, Position 34867

The University of Missouri-Kansas City is seeking a faculty member to fill the position of general dentist. The position is a 100% benefit eligible, full time, non-tenure track position at the rank of Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Restorative Clinical Sciences. The faculty member will provide instruction for pre-doctoral dental students and/or Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residents. This includes instruction and evaluation of students in diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative dentistry, endodontics, and non-surgical periodontics. A DDS/DMD or equivalent with eligibility for Missouri licensure is required.  Advanced Education in General Dentistry/General Practice Residency training or equivalent is preferred. Experience in restoration of implants is preferred.  Qualified candidates may be eligible to participate in faculty practice one day per week.  Preference will be given to candidates with experience and interest in management of facial pain and TMD’s.


 

Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor, Restorative Clinical Sciences Department, Positions 38765, 38779 and 38783

The University of Missouri-Kansas City is seeking faculty members to fill the position of generalist. The position is a 100% benefit eligible, full time, non-tenure track position at the rank of Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Restorative Clinical Sciences. The faculty member will provide instruction for pre-doctoral dental students. This includes instruction and evaluation of students in diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative dentistry including fixed and removable prosthodontics, endodontics, and non-surgical periodontics. Instruction in the pre-clinic lab is also required. A DDS/DMD or equivalent with eligibility for Missouri licensure is required.  Advanced Education in General Dentistry/General Practice Residency training or equivalent is preferred. Qualified candidates may be eligible to participate in faculty practice one day per week.


Assistant/Associate Professor (Clinical), Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics Department, Position 38815

UMKC is seeking applications for a 100% benefit eligible, full-time faculty in the Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics Department. Qualified candidates must have training and experience in orthodontics and a commitment to teaching, clinical dentistry, scholarly activities such as research, and service. Specific responsibilities include pre- and post-doctoral classroom, laboratory and clinical teaching and supervision of student research.  Academic rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Qualified tenure track candidates may be eligible to participate in the intramural faculty practice one day per week. For non US DDS candidates with US training and board eligibility in orthodontics dentistry, a foreign faculty DDS program is available after an initial period of service. Interviews of qualified candidates will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.


Tanaka Chair, Restorative Clinical Sciences, Position 00037173

UMKC School of Dentistry is seeking applications for a full time, 100% FTE, benefit eligible position of Tanaka Chair, Restorative Clinical Sciences. The Tanaka Chair provides leadership in meeting UMKC School of Dentistry’s educational, research, patient care and service missions. The Restorative Clinical Sciences Department provides classroom and clinical instruction for pre-doctoral dental students in the areas of operative dentistry, fixed and removable prosthodontics, esthetic dentistry and implants. The Tanaka Chair will work collaboratively with the school’s advanced education and dental hygiene programs and other departments in a comprehensive care environment. The Tanaka Chair will be expected to embrace a contemporary vision of practice and innovation, and to envision the future of dental practice.

Qualified candidates should hold a DDS or DMD and preference will be given to candidates who completed a Prosthodontics Residency program (board eligible or certified) or who have completed a General Practice Residency or Advanced Education in General Dentistry certificate. Experience in educational innovation, use of technology in education and leadership is expected with preference given to those with previous leadership, teaching, and research experience. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience. Opportunities for clinical practice may be available for the qualified candidate. Part-Time Adjunct Assistant Professor, Restorative Clinical Sciences, Position 28352

The University of Missouri-Kansas City is seeking faculty members to fill part-time generalist positions. The positions are non-benefit eligible, non-tenure track positions at the rank of Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Restorative Clinical Sciences working two or more days per week. The faculty member will provide instruction for pre-doctoral dental students. This includes instruction and evaluation of students in diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative dentistry, endodontics, and non-surgical periodontics. A DDS/DMD or equivalent with eligibility for Missouri licensure is required.
