Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor, Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Position # 34261
The University of Missouri – Kansas City seeks to fill a 100% benefit eligible, full-time, non-tenure track faculty position at the Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor level in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. The department is responsible for pre-doctoral education, research, patient care, and service. Specific responsibilities will concentrate on pre-doctoral classroom and clinical instruction. Preferred candidates should have a DMD/DDS degree, advanced training in Pediatric Dentistry and should be eligible for licensure in Missouri. Candidates with Missouri licensure may have opportunities for clinical practice. Interviews of qualified candidates will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
Endowed Professorship in Dental and Musculoskeletal Tissue Research, Associate Professor/Professor, Oral and Craniofacial Sciences Department, Position # 46388
The University of Missouri-Kansas City, School of Dentistry is seeking a faculty member who shows promise as an emerging basic cell/ molecular biologist to fill an endowed professorship position in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences Department. The position is a 100% benefit eligible, full time (12 month), tenure-track position at the rank of Associate Professor/Professor. A Ph.D. in craniofacial developmental biology is required and DDS/DMD or equivalent is an additional preferred credential. We offer an energetic, collaborative and supportive research environment and the candidate will be expected to develop an independent, extramural funded research program related to craniofacial biology-disease or musculoskeletal diseases. Investigators with expertise in muscle or bone biology with an emphasis on muscle-bone interactions in diseases and/or development are encouraged to apply. There are numerous opportunities to establish collaborations with investigators focused on craniofacial and musculoskeletal diseases in the department, UMKC and neighboring institutions. Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor, Generalist, Department Restorative Clinical Sciences, Positiosn # 58422, # 38693
The University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry is seeking general dentist faculty members to fill a positions in the Restorative Clinical Science department. The positions are a 100% benefit eligible, full time, non-tenure track positions at the rank of Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor. The faculty member will provide clinical instruction and oversight for pre-doctoral dental students. This includes instruction and evaluation of students in diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative dentistry, removable and fixed prosthodontics, endodontics, and non-surgical periodontics. The faculty member is expected to provide didactic and preclinical lab instruction, as assigned. A DDS/DMD or equivalent is required. Advanced Education in General Dentistry/General Practice Residency training or equivalent is preferred. Interested candidates with a Missouri license may be eligible to participate in faculty practice one day per week.
Department Chair, Associate Professor/Professor, Department of Oral Surgery and Hospital Dentistry, Position # 65502
The University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry is seeking to fill the position of Department Chair of Oral Surgery and Hospital Dentistry at the rank of Associate Professor/ Professor (tenure track). The position is a 100% benefit eligible, full time position for 5 days per week. One day per week may be reserved for private practice, research, development and other school -related activities. Rank will be determined based on experience and credentials. This department is responsible for pre-doctoral and advanced education training for students, patient care, service and research in oral surgery and hospital dentistry. Responsibilities of this position include pre-doctoral classroom and clinical instruction oversight and general oversight responsibility for the advanced education program in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. A DDS or DMD with eligibility for Missouri licensure and Board certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery preferred.

Part-Time Adjunct Assistant Professor, Restorative Clinical Sciences, Position 28352
The University of Missouri-Kansas City is seeking faculty members to fill part-time generalist positions. The positions are non-benefit eligible, non-tenure track positions at the rank of Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Restorative Clinical Sciences working two or more days per week. The faculty member will provide instruction for pre-doctoral dental students. This includes instruction and evaluation of students in diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative dentistry, endodontics, and non-surgical periodontics. A DDS/DMD or equivalent with eligibility for Missouri licensure is required.
Part Time Clinical Instructor, Division of Dental Hygiene, Position 43360
The School of Dentistry is seeking a part time, non-benefit eligible, Clinical Instructor to provide clinical instruction to dental hygiene students in the dental hygiene clinic two to three days per week. Qualified applicants must have graduated from an accredited dental hygiene program, have a Bachelor’s degree and be eligible for Missouri licensure and credentialing in clinical instruction methodology. Job responsibilities include supervision and assessment of dental hygiene clinic skills, faculty calibration, HIPPA, OSHA and CPR certification (provided by SOD), and student mentoring.
